What is Night To Shine?
A prom for people with special needs ages 14 and over, who will be our guests for the evening. Guests will be celebrated with a red carpet, crowns and tiaras, corsages and boutonnieres, limo rides, games, dancing, dinner, photo portraits and VIP treatment. The vision is to provide an unforgettable night full of faith, hope and love for the amazing people with special needs.
When is Night To Shine?
Night to Shine is held in the month of February.

Who is invited to be a guest at Night to Shine?
Any person with a physical, cognitive, or developmental disability who is age 14 and up.
How do I register a guest for Night to Shine?
Registration is not open at this time.
How much does it cost for a guest to attend Night to Shine?
Night to Shine is free for all guests and their parents!
Is there a cut off date for guest registration?
Registration is not open at this time.
What is the dress code of the event?
We encourage all guests and volunteers to dress up to their desired level of formality! Have fun dressing up or be comfortable, you decide!
Will there be a Prom Shop event this year?
There will be no prom shop event this year.
FAQs for Volunteers:
How do I register to be a volunteer"?
Registration is not open at this time.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
For this year’s Night to Shine, all volunteers will need to be at least 16 years old. Buddies need to be at least 18 years old.
If I sign up to be a volunteer, will I receive training?
Absolutely! We will be sending out all the information you will need before the event.
I will not be able to volunteer in person this year, is there another way to help?
We understand that many people are unable to participate in person this year but may still want to contribute to Night to Shine. Please consider participating by offering to sponsor a guest this year for $20. Sponsoring a guest will cover the cost of their Night to Shine Experience Gift Kit that includes crown/tiara, corsage/boutonniere, and gifts. Thank you for your continued celebration of these deserving guests.
FAQS FOR BUDDIES:
I’m a buddy for a guest. When do I need to arrive at Night to Shine?
Buddies who are attending with a guest, who is related to them or is a personal friend, need to arrive WITH THEIR GUEST. Check is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Check in will shut down at 7:00 p.m.
FAQs for Parents:
I am a parent of a guest at Night to Shine. What are my options?
We will not be hosting a Parent Prom event alongside our Night to Shine event on February 9th, 2024.
We encourage parents who are able to be their child’s one on one buddy at Night to Shine, please do so. Parents who wish to be be their child’s buddy can register using the Buddy Registration Form. At this time, guests are only allowed to have ONE buddy. If another parent wishes to attend Night to Shine, they are encouraged to sign up to VOLUNTEER.
For guests who would like a little more space from their parent but may still need them near, we encourage the parent to sign up as a volunteer for the red carpet. This allows parents to still witness their’s child’s Night to Shine experience will also contributing to the event. If the parent is NOT going to be the buddy for the guest, they must arrange for a family member or trusted friend to sign up as the buddy for their child. Every guest must provide their own buddy for this year’s Night to Shine. Be sure to have that buddy register using the Buddy Registration Form.
Either way, all parents who would like to attend Night to Shine will need to register.
FAQs for Group Homes
Group Homes are encouraged to participate in this year’s event by registering their home. Please use the separate group home registration link to sign up. Group home coordinators should complete the Group Home Registration Form. You will then receive the next steps on how to register your residents for Night to Shine. Please do not register them individually using the Guest Registration Form.
