At Genesis we believe compassion is serving God by serving people. As the third component of our discipleship process, we want to move every Christ follower to a place of active, strategic service. Compassion is really all about loving people through service, because love is action!

At Genesis, we want to point Christ followers to serve in 2 key areas: Inside the Church – connecting to a ministry that builds the church and partners with inviters to help create an incredible experience for everyone, especially guests; and Outside the Church – participating in ministry to the community and world through Compassion Projects and Short-Term Mission Trips. Compassion is the doing part of our faith that makes Christ known in our sphere of influence in the world.

Genesis Church partners with other organizations, both locally and globally, to help spread the love and message of Christ:

Local

Local compassion projects are our way to actively love and serve the world throughout the year, we create community reach events or compassion projects that allow attendees to move beyond the four walls of Genesis and make their life count in a personal way through service!  Serving the poor and meeting the felt needs of people is one of the greatest gifts we can give. We want to do more than have a church; we want to be the Church!

Currently, our primary Compassion Project is the Ghazvini Initiative. We are partnering with the Ghazvini Learning Center to impact both the students and faculty in a powerful way. For more information on how you can get involved please contact Layne Holmes at layne@genesischurch.tv.

Global

Genesis has a global vision. Reaching the nations of the world with the love of Jesus is one of our deepest passions. We want to enable Genesis attenders to expand their worldview and serve people who are hurting and suffering in the world. Missions is part of the Compassion component of our 3C process. How we accomplish this is through short-term mission trips. Our strategy is to focus on a few specific areas and build lasting relationships with those we desire to serve in order to have a long term impact for the Kingdom.
