before you attend
Hello! As you work your way through the website, we are hopeful most of your initial questions will be answered. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with you soon in person! Here are some FAQ that might help you on your first visit to Genesis Church! Thanks again and can’t wait to meet you!
when are your experiences?
We have two identical Sunday experiences @ 9:29 and 11:01 am. We recommend you arrive approximately 10-15 minutes before the experience so you won’t feel rushed. The extra time will allow you to grab a free cup of Land of a Thousand Hills coffee – which is awesome, and if you are a parent, check your child into Genesis Kidsville (birth-5th grade)!
how do I get to mission road campus?
Genesis Church Tallahassee is located on the corner of Fred George and Mission Road in Tallahassee, Florida. 4070 Mission Road, Tallahassee, FL Click here for a map.
what can I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll be made to feel at home. Our terrific parking team will direct you as you enter the campus. Then, our greeters will be waiting and ready to give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you are shy, signage is super obvious just for you!
As you enter the main doors, please feel free to stop by to visit our Guest Services to get information about the church and upcoming events. From the lobby, you can make your way directly into the sanctuary where our ushers will welcome you, hand you our information-filled weekend worship guide and direct you to your seat.
what is a weekend service like?
Whether it is your first time at Genesis or you’ve been attending for some time, you never know what to expect during our 60-75 minute service. From the moment you walk in the door, until the moment you leave, we are committed to a creative, compelling, and challenging presentation of God’s truth.
Lead Pastor, Scott Hunter communicates in a way that speaks to today’s post-Christian culture. Scott delivers a passionate, straight-forward and honest gospel message focusing on how to apply biblical principles and Christ’s teachings to your daily life. The music is great and probably sounds like what is on your iTunes.
where do I take my children?
You’ll find a first-class program for your children from birth through 5th grade. You cannot miss the exciting Bus Stop Check In Station at Genesis Kidsville located to the right of the auditorium. With the help of friendly Kidsville assistants, you will register your child/children at the digital check-in and get your corresponding electronic safety tag(s). Every child will have a safety tag and church profile that will label personal belongings and mark special needs of any kind from food allergies to physical or mental challenges. We are committed to providing the safest environment possible for your children. Genesis Kidsville is divided into six separate areas: Nursery Babies (birth – 11 months); Nursery Walkers (12 mo. – 23 mo.);Toddlers (2′s & 3′s); Pre-K & K (4′s & 5′s); Elementary (1st – 5th grade); and Special Needs. Each individual area is divided according to need and age appropriate development.
Genesis Kidsville is located in one wing of the building for easy access and safety. We are committed to every child regardless of any developmental issues or physical or mental handicaps. Our Kids Staff is trained in special needs and is prepared to build lasting relationships and minister to your child no matter what personal challenges he/she might be facing. Your son or daughter has a place to belong at Genesis Kids no matter what!
