WEEK 10- GENEROSITY IN GIVING

Categories:SuperNormal

Scripture – Acts 4.32-5.10

Talk It Over
1. From the story of Barnabus – what do we learn about spiritual maturity in giving?
2. What was the key struggle of Ananias and Sapphira? How do you often think like a non-believer?
3. What does planned giving do versus compulsive giving?
4. Why is not giving to be seen such a critical component in the generosity process?
5. What are the differences between steward and owner mentality? Why is Jesus an advocate for stewardship?
6. Why is not looking back after giving critical in the generosity process?

Life Application
Pray about BIG give.
Obey what God says to do.

WEEK 9- PERSECUTION

http://genesischurch.tv/atlanta/gcmedia/

Acts 4.1-12

Talk It Over

1.    The healing of the lame man started persecution against Peter and John, when have you done something Spirit-led or the right thing and it led to pain or persecution? How did you feel towards God as a result?

2.    Does the fear of persecution for doing the right thing ever hinder you from going for it? Is there ever that unstated hesitation in your decision-making process?

3.     Have you faced persecution by religious or church-people because of your dedication and commitment to Jesus? How did that experience(s) impact your view of the Church or Christianity? Why is authentic faith hated by both the world and religious people in your opinion?

4.     Peter and John were bold and confronted the leaders with the reality of the person and work of Jesus. When you think of boldness as a believer, what comes to mind? How bold are you about who Jesus is in your life?

5.     Peter declares salvation is found in no other name but Jesus. When you make that claim you pronounce judgment by default on other religions and faith systems as well as on unbelievers, but if you deny Jesus is the only way, you have an unbiblical faith, so how do you personally navigate this truth with people in your world who are not followers of Jesus? Do you struggle with the idea of Jesus being the only way to God? Why or why not?

Life Application

Easter is the time when believers are to be the boldest about their faith as they leverage the calendar to make Christ known. The challenge this week is to overcome fear and be bold with the people who need to hear about the salvation that is found in Christ alone. Take an action-step of boldness towards someone in your sphere of influence this week!!!

WEEK 8- PARALYZED

http://genesischurch.tv/atlanta/gcmedia/

1. What event in your life has ever left you paralyzed relationally, spiritually, emotionally?
2. How did you relate to God during and after that time?
3. Who in your world is in one of those life-crisis moments right now? How are you impacting them?
4. How do you personally reach into peoples’ lives? Are you afraid or bold? Share a story of missing it and getting it.
5. Do you actively believe God can do miracles through you? Do you pray, relate and live with that expectation? Why or Why not?
6. Who in your life right now needs a miracle? How can you be part of it?

Scripture
Isaiah 61.3
Acts 3.1-10

Life Application
In the next two weeks be active in inviting to Easter. Be bold and reach into their lives with love, grace, mercy and hope! Their miracle may depend on you. This is the time to be aware of those in our world that we normally walk by – see them, heal them!
